passive house
Towards a new Awareness
Our planet is now in unsustainable conditions due to polluting emissions into the atmosphere of heating, industry and transport, and the construction of traditional buildings.
Becoming aware of this problem pushes more and more to look elsewhere, towards new forms of eco-environmental sustainability , among which a very important role is played by the construction of ecological buildings and houses .
The passive house is a house that does not need any traditional heating or cooling system (boiler, radiators, air conditioning systems ...) but which is able to ensure the thermal well-being of the environment through what are called "sources passive heat " : solar radiation, the people who live there, thermal inertia.
In simple terms, the house is defined as “ passive ” when the passive sources of heat are almost sufficient to compensate for the losses of the housing envelope during the cold season.
The VilleBio passive houses are ideal for the whole year a healthy environment and ideal for the health and well-being.
VilleBio Group has carried out several projects of passive houses throughout Italy as it strongly believes that this new and technologically advanced way of building constitutes the opportunity of the future for those who want an independent house from an energy point of view , with extraordinary living comfort and eco -friendly .

Building in green building
take into account, in the design phase, the integration of the new building in the environmental context where it will be inserted
use materials that are as natural as possible, which do not cause damage to health, do not require high energy consumption to be produced and, once their construction function is completed, can be disposed of without causing pollution
build in such a way as to ensure the necessary transpiration, permeability and ventilation to buildings to avoid the future formation of mold and condensation, which are dangerous to health
install systems that allow for the lowest consumption of drinking water and recover rainwater
design and install systems that help reduce the energy needs of the building to a minimum

Why choose wooden houses
Towards a new way of building that is healthy, ecological, respectful of the environment, and… of your future!
-
Wooden house saves money before, during and after its construction thanks to its low energy consumption!
-
You will not have price increases during construction but you will pay exactly what was budgeted!
-
In a few months you can have the house of your dreams made to measure for you, without nightmares of delays in delivery!
-
The wooden house is highly performing against earthquakes thanks to the construction technology and materials!
-
The wooden house offers a healthy, moisture-free, acoustically perfect indoor environment!
ENERGY SAVING
Low energy houses

VilleBio Group builds energy-saving and eco-sustainable houses that require three times less energy than a traditional masonry construction, both for heating and cooling.
In winter , wood fiber or mineral wool, natural and environmentally friendly materials with excellent thermal, transpiration and acoustic performance, insulate and maintain the temperature and an ideal climate for health.
In summer, these insulations work like a natural air conditioner, managing to maintain the ideal temperature for more than 12 hours, thus preventing the rooms from overheating.
Not having to resort to the installation of expensive and sophisticated heating and cooling technologies, the considerable cost savings , both immediate on the purchase and in the future, on the costs of use and maintenance are evident .
Frame or X-Lam structure
How to understand which one to choose?
Both the frame technology and the X-Lam panel technology are extremely versatile, safe, reliable and suitable for the construction of prefabricated wooden houses: it is not possible to identify which of the two is absolutely the best.
So how is it possible to choose?
Both technologies have advantages and disadvantages, differences in characteristics and prices, it is therefore good not to prefer one system to the other a priori, but to analyze each project and identify the best technology based on the single construction.
Frame System
The frame system (also called Platform Frame) consists of a framework of beams of various sizes, studied and designed by the structuralists, laid at 62.5 cm from each other and then completed with internal insulation in various materials.
The structure of the frame system is made and assembled in specialized factories, at different levels of prefabrication according to the needs.
Once completed, it is transported on site and anchored to the concrete base, using threaded rods and chemical anchor (a quick-setting synthetic glue).
Before laying the frame structure, a bituminous sole is usually applied to the reinforced concrete base, in order to protect the wood from humidity. This is the most delicate point of the construction of a wooden house to which we pay a very particular attention and design.
The wall is then completed with an external protective coat and an internal technical compartment where the systems pass.
The wall, floor and roof elements made with the frame system , since they are produced in the factory and then only assembled and completed on site, have shorter construction times than those of a house made with X-Lam panels which usually is completed on site.

X-Lam panels
X-Lam or CTL (Cross Laminted Timber) is a large wood panel composed of a series of C24-rated spruce wood slats crossed orthogonally and pressure-glued on each other, to create a wall structural with excellent anti-seismic and thermal behavior.
The panels have variable thicknesses from 60 mm to 300 mm.
Thanks to the large load capacity of the panels and the sturdiness given by the intersection of the boards, the whole wall becomes load-bearing and the building does not need a real structural frame.
The X-Lam panels are also used to build the floors.
Ideal for ANTI-SEISMIC constructions thanks to their excellent mechanical characteristics, they are also compatible with BIO-BUILDING constructions.
This wall is laid on site and usually the windows, the protective and insulating coat (made with natural fiber products such as wood fibers or mineral rock), the internal technical compartment, and the plaster layer are added there.
This system, used and known above all in Italy, has longer construction times than frame systems
